The premises for the restaurant were a potential problem from the beginning of the project. Through careful planning and coordination we were able to overcome these problems with ease. The stairway leading to the basement kitchen was very narrow and presented logistical problems in delivering and supplying the equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. We met with the owner of the restaurant, installers and contractors on an almost daily basis to ensure all work was communicated correctly. To solve the issue, we advised our suppliers to deliver all goods to a rented warehouse; once this was done we transported them to the restaurant and installed everything in one go. This enabled us to make sure all goods were installed safely and received in working order. We also had to arrange for the ventilation system to be custom made in smaller parts so that it could be easily moved to the basement and put together on site.
